YUNXUAN LIN
Flow of harvest
This work takes flow as its guiding thread, viewing the harvest of food as an experience of time in continuous motion. Time does not exist in the image in a linear way; instead, it is perceived like flavor—layered, permeating, and lingering.
Harvest is not merely an endpoint, but a moment where nature, labor, and memory converge. Seasons, climate, and the warmth of hands—slowly accumulated over time—are compressed into the texture and aroma of food, transforming within the painting into a rhythm of movement. Flow here refers both to natural cycles and to the echoes of time awakened by taste: when food enters the mouth and blooms on the palate, time may pause, or perhaps travel through the body along with flavor.
